PSG seek perfection with one eye on Europe

The action returns to the European domestic leagues this weekend after a break for qualifying games for international tournaments. In France, in the first game of the Ligue Un weekend, the champions PSG entertain Bordeaux.

Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain take on Bordeaux at the Parc des Princes on Friday night looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

The champions go into the fifth match of the campaign with doubts over the fitness of star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

He suffered a stomach injury while on international duty with Sweden, and PSG boss Laurent Blanc says he wants to rest the striker so he will be ready for PSG's opening game in the Uefa Champions League on Tuesday against Malmo - the club where the 33-year-old started his career.
Bordeaux also have Europe on their minds. They take on Liverpool next Thursday in the Europa League.
Second-placed Reims play on Saturday night at Toulouse while third-placed Rennes travel to Nantes on Sunday afternoon. The final game of the Ligue Un weekend involves Marseille and Bastia whose supporters have been banned from travelling to the southern French city.
Bernard Cazeneuve, the interior minister, said he had ordered the clampdown due to repeated clashes between rival fans.
"Individual or collective travel between the communes of Corsica and Marseille, by any means, for anyone claiming to be a fan of SC Bastia or behaving like one is forbidden," he added.
