Zlatan Ibrahimovic puts the Lionel Messi-Cristiano Ronaldo debate to bed

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in the States with PSG vying for the super, hugely, massively important International Champions Cup, andstopped in with SI.com to play a fun little game of word association with host Maggie Gray.
Though having one of the most mercurial and interesting footballers on the face of the planet use the fewest number of words possible feels like a miss, Ibrahimovic still managed to shake things up.
Gray decided to get straight to it and get at the truth of one of world soccer’s largest barbershop debates (or pubs or cafes or whichever place of general assembly).
“Lionel Messi?”
“Fantastic.”
“Cristiano Ronaldo?”
“Good.”
Snap.
This jab might have something to do with the fact that rumors have been swirling around about PSG (who’ve just had their Financial Fair Play restrictions lifted which means they can splash their endless reserves of oil money all over the transfer market) snapping up Ronaldo to replace the aging Ibrahimovic. Could be that he’s still sore about Ronaldo and company knocking Sweden out of 2014 World Cup qualifying.
Of course, it’s more likely that this isn’t a jab, but a mere assertion of fact, because Zlatan is just closer to the truths of the universe than the rest of us.
